Hillary moved to Grand Rapids in the summer of 2014 and lived with her older sister, Mollie, and her husband. She was born in Grand Rapids, then her family moved to Rochester Hills, MI for 24 years. Hillary started in the dental industry by becoming a dental assistant in 2010 until she graduated from the hygiene program at Ferris State University.
Hillary knew she wanted to work in pediatrics after she volunteered for Kids Smile Day with an office and interned during school working with little kids. She enjoyed teaching kids about oral hygiene and good healthcare habits.
Hillary is a Registered Dental Hygienist with certifications in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. She started at a pediatric office when she graduated from hygiene school, but continued her career in general practice for the past four years until starting at Pediatric Dental Specialists of West Michigan in March of 2019.
Hillary enjoys spending time with her family. She has two brothers, Freddie and Max, that live in Colorado and California. Her two nieces, Blakeley and Scarlett, live in Grand Rapids. Hillary loves to spend time with them doing activities like going to the movies and eating ice cream. Hillary is very excited to be working in pediatrics again because she enjoys teaching patients how to properly brush their teeth, make going to the dentist fun, and providing treatments that aid in cavity prevention.
