About Us

Welcome to Pediatric Dental Specialists of West Michigan

As pediatric dental specialists, we know that all children are unique and our treatment approaches are tailored for each child. Dr. Katie, Dr. Stephanie, and Dr. Taryn are board-certified pediatric dentists and have specialized training in child development and behavior enhancement. We strive to provide comprehensive and compassionate dental care to all children ranging from infancy to adolescence including those with special health care needs. We recommend your child’s first dental visit when their first tooth erupts, or by age 1, in accordance with the guidelines from the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Whether you’re scheduling your child’s first dental visit or you’re looking for a new dental home, our dedicated team is excited to meet you and your child!

Patient Steps Toward Success

Most children feel uneasy about entering a new environment. Before your child’s first visit, take time to help them prepare and follow these steps to reassure them that our office is a fun, friendly space:

  1. Be enthusiastic and supportive to your child before their appointment reassuring them that they will do a great job!
  2. If there are concerns or fears, please let us know so we are ready for your child’s visit.
  3. Tour our office with your child, so they will feel more at ease during their appointment.
  4. Reassure your child that our team is here to help them and encourage them at their visit.
